So I went with my sister to Iceland this year for her birthday (her request was to see something amazing and eat something amazing – and we pulled it off!). This is one in a series of photo galleries from this trip.
We arrived around 11pm (Iceland time / +4 UTC – which is around 7pm ET), and basically ended up at our hotel around 1am. We crashed for the night, and got up to explore the capital city of Reykjavík for a few hours before we started on our official tours. Some small facts: The city of Reykjavík is around half the size of New York City, with under 200,000 residents – so it’s very easy to walk around. Thankfully, almost everyone there speaks very good english (not including other tourists; better that many Americans, truth be told).
Anyway, here are some random photos from around town 🙂
