On our final day in Iceland, we had an afternoon flight out – so we spent the entire morning + some of the afternoon living a decadent life of luxury, and soaking away our worries and stress in the Blue Lagoon. It’s pretty swanky – you can buy drinks from within the Lagoon itself (the have an in-lagoon bar). They give you a waterproof bracelet that doubles as a charge card, so that you don’t have to carry payment with you – and then you pay the bill on the way out.
Although I would note – it’s basically a huge natural jacuzzi… so there’s not a lot to do other than talk and goof around (as is shown by the photos). So if you go, bring friends! Oh – and go as early as you can; it’s much emptier / calmer early in the morning 🙂
